S Subsidence – warning signs
What does Subsidence –warning signs mean?

First of all, a shallow structure and foundation that your house has been built on is the number one factor many times which causes subsidence. If your house is very old, cracks and fissured walls are a sign of ageing and not something caused by subsidence. Especially during the hot seasons, although you love that oak you have in your garden for the shadow and protection it offers, but you should know that they are also thirsty and may eventually drain your soil of water, thus provoking subsidence.

As seen, there are many factors which may lead to subsidence, and when you for example observe that the doors or the windows of your home stuck and you cannot find an explanation, or if you find such fissures which seem to have no explanation as well, it may be very well the case of subsidence, and you should check for the reasons immediately. Bear in mind that a property which has a subsidence history becomes a problematic property both when you want to sell it, and when you want to buy certain insurance.
