H House price surveys
What does house price survey mean?

Given the constant real estate market fluctuations, market which is definitely most influenced when there are economical challenges throughout the world, house price surveys released by certain institutions can prove very useful both in the case you are preparing to sell a house and if you are preparing to buy one.

Among the most trustworthy sources one can find reports on yearly house price surveys, one can mention Halifax, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Barclays Bank.
From such a report, one can learn how much have the houses depreciated over the next few months. For example, Halifax’s report states that house prices have dropped by almost 3% in February 2009, compared to the house pricing in January.

However pay closer attention to more than just one survey released by different institutions, because it may happen not all organizations are impartial, and some may take into account only transactions effectuated through real estate agencies and not individual transactions as well.
